Death. We all fear it. Some of us embrace that fear, and turn it into obsession.
We all wonder what happens when we die. When we get to the other side.
Is there another side? Perhaps. We turn to religion to give us our answers.
Only problem is, which one do we choose?
Unfortunately there are so many choices to make, which is the truth?
Who can we trust in a world where everyone thinks they are right.
I never thought of death before. I, like many humans, try to keep it in the dark recesses of my sub conscious.
Locked away, so I may live my life as any other. Free of that fear.
Only recently have I REALLY wondered, thought on, and imagined what happens when we finally take our last breath.
First, I believe, we must let go of Earth. Of the world we know and everything we have gotten used to.
Only then can we go on to the Next Level.
The ones who are stuck here we call ghosts. Reliving the memories and lives they can't let go of.
Some don't know how to leave, some don't even know they are dead.
Then, after facing our fear and leaving the general safety of Earth, we move on.
Everyone who has come back after a near death experience says that they go UP.
Up beautiful stairs into a door with light, up through a tunnel.
Looking down on themselves as they die.
Therefore we go, up, up into the Light.
Where does this light lead?
I believe the light is more of a beacon.
Such as a lighthouse.
Drawing us up into the second level of Death.
This level must turn into a kind of Limbo, a place to be when you aren't anywhere at all.
Everyone associated Death and Sleep as related.
When you sleep you dream, lost in your own consciousness.
Some cannot control their dreams.
Others can.
I believe those others can also control what happens after their death.
Death is a conscious effort.
Those who believe in Heaven and Hell, unconsciously, go to the place they have always thought they would go.
Those who think they have had a terrible life and deserve Hell, create their own torment.
Those who believe their lives were good and just, create the reality of their rewards.
I believe this.
You don't have to.
We all create our own Gods. None of us is wrong or right.
The mind is a powerful thing.
We can create and destroy, it all starts with the power of thought and the strength of our will.
So who's to say we don't Create our own End?
Can our world itself be the result of someone elses Dream?
It's a legitimate thought.
One I have pondered over for a while.
Welcome to the Land of Dreams and Nightmares ladies and Gentlemen.

Among the Castles in the Stars.
